Kim Kardashian says Kanye will 'always be family' and that they talk on a daily basis

Kim Kardashian says that she and Kanye will "always be family" and that they talk on a daily basis.

The SKIMS founder discussed what it was like co-parenting the four children she shares with the rapper.

Sitting down to discuss her new life with Robin René Roberts on Good Morning America, she said that she works very hard to maintain a healthy and civil relationship with ex husband Ye.

"I'm really open and honest with them, the younger ones don't understand as much, but as far as with my two older ones, they know what's going on," she said, discussing her divorce.

"And you have to just really be there for them no matter what, even in this crazy life that we live. You just have to have a really open dialogue with your children."

Providing insight into how the pair make life work after their split, the 41-year-old said: "Kanye and I have had conversations, we have to talk daily for the kids.

"So you know, I hate that it had to play out like that, but when it comes to family, I mean, Kanye and I will always be family," she added with a smile.

Despite the social media rants and abuse that Kanye, 44, has launched on Kim's partner Pete Davidson, Kim insisted on putting the children first and avoiding bad blood.

"At the end of the day, I just want my kids to be happy and healthy and think the world of their dad - and they do, " she said.

As Kim navigates her way through the divorce, her sister Kourtney practised tying the knot with Travis Barker in a drunken Las Vegas ceremony.

Kim admitted that she had actually slept through the dry-run wedding, adding that she found out about the shindig on the family group WhatsApp chat.

Kim was joined by Kourtney, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and their mum Kris on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote their new Hulu reality series The Kardashians.

After the Grammy Awards, Kourtney and Travis stunned fans when they shared snaps from their 'practice' wedding at the chapel in Sin City.

Jimmy Kimmel asked if the family were aware of Kourtney's plans, with Kris admitting: "I knew, and Khloe knew."

"I was on FaceTime,' Khloe said, but Kim totally missed out, admitting that she was sleeping.

During the family's special, Kourtney said how she and Travis, 46, went from "friend" to "fiance".

"I felt deep down if we looked into each other's eyes, you know, made it physical, that it would just be over," she said.
