Kim Kardashian ’s unfiltered Oscars red carpet snaps have shocked fans who say they appreciate her natural beauty.
The 41-year-old billionaire businesswoman attended the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on Sunday, alongside supermodel sister Kendall Jenner.
Kim wore a show-stopping blue Balenciaga gown, teamed with silver sunglasses and her hair scraped back into a sleek ponytail, and she looked flawless as she walked the red carpet into the official bash of the Academy Awards.
The SKIMS founder posted a slideshow of pictures of her preparing to arrive at the party, with one showing her as she entered the star-studded bash, with her skin smooth and not a hair out of place.
However, photos taken by a photographer at the party have circulated on social media, showing the real texture of Kim’s skin, and angry fans have criticised the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star for setting “unrealistic standards” of beauty.
In a thread on Reddit, many said they preferred Kim’s natural look, and pleaded with her to drop the heavily edited photos she shares on social media.
“When you're so used to seeing the smoothed filtered photos it’s a bit of a shock when we get a real image. She looks fabulous in both photos. But different,” one wrote.
“Exactly lol she looks FINE they need to quit setting the unrealistic standards for themselves because that’s what p***es off everyone anyways,” another agreed.
“Feel the same way. I saw all the Getty Images and was like woah. It’s not that they look bad without the photoshop,” one added, as another said “real life ends up being a shock” as they're used to seeing “so much photoshop”.

The mum-of-four was recently accused of editing her photos from her romantic trip to the Bahamas with boyfriend Pete Davidson, as one eagle-eyed follower spotted her distorted leg.
Uploading a series of images showing her flocking on a beach in a swimsuit, one of her Instagram followers pointed out that she had edited the photo so badly it left her leg looking like an arm.
But as her followers commented on the Photoshop fail, Kim deleted the post and re-uploaded her holiday snaps without the offending picture.
