Kim Kardashian reveals strict rules North must stick to as she gains popularity on TikTok

Kim Kardashian has opened up on the strict rules she has for daughter North's use of TikTok.

The reality star, 41, admitted she can't stop her nine-year-old from being on the social media platform - much to the youngster's dad Kanye West's dismay - but she can take steps to keep her safe.

And she confessed her way might not be the right way for everyone, but it's what she feels is the best for the moment. Ye had previously claimed: "My children ain't going to be on TikTok without my permission."

Her rules include making sure all comment sections are turned off on every post the youngster makes - which is almost daily currently.

Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on the GOOP podcast, the SKIMS founder explained how hard it is to keep her kids off the platform when their cousins and peers use it.

She revealed her ways of dealing with North's safety differs from family such as Khloe an Kourtney, saying: "I think every family is different, even within my family. How Kourtney operates, how Khloé operates, how Kylie — we always say every family is different.

"With social media, it is hard because all the cousins, all my nieces and nephews, they're all best friends with my kids. They're all the same ages.

"So if [North's cousin] Penelope has a TikTok, North wants a TikTok, and all the girls at school have a TikTok."

Speaking of her rules with Kanye surrounding the account, Kim continued to say the app can "only be on my phone" to make sure the youngster doesn't accidentally view any inappropriate or harmful posts.

She explained: "'It's not something where she can scroll and look at things. We don't do comments."

And she admits the TikTok account has lasted a lot longer than North's Instagram as she has found a nice level to the usage.

"I found a groove with her TikTok," she said. "As long as it's me and her together and I'm there. That works for now. But it's a crazy world, I don't deny that."
