Reality star Kim Kardashian recently shared on a podcast that her son has vitiligo, a condition where pigment-producing cells stop functioning. She mentioned that her son's vitiligo is very mild and is now under control. Kardashian expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn more about the condition, its hereditary nature, and to be able to share this knowledge with others.
In addition to her son's vitiligo, Kardashian revealed that her children also experience eczema, although she did not specify which child has been diagnosed with vitiligo. She has two sons, Saint and Psalm, and two daughters, North and Chicago, with ex-husband Kanye West.
Kim Kardashian also discussed her own struggles with psoriasis, a skin condition she first noticed in her 30s. Despite trying various treatments, including holistic approaches and topical creams, Kardashian has not been able to completely eliminate her psoriasis. She humorously remarked that the condition seems to be 'here to stay.'
She has been open about her psoriasis journey over the years, sharing photos and updates on social media. Kardashian once documented a particularly painful flare-up on her leg for her followers, expressing frustration with the condition. She also defended her occasional use of a tanning bed in her office, noting that it helps alleviate her symptoms.
Kardashian mentioned that her mother, Kris Jenner, also has psoriasis, jokingly referring to herself as 'lucky' for inheriting the condition. Despite the challenges posed by psoriasis, Kardashian remains determined to manage her symptoms and continue raising awareness about skin conditions.
