Kim Kardashian fires Twitter into frenzy as son wears Arsenal Women's shirt to Sporting match

Kim Kardashian’s style very rarely comes under doubt, with the American mega-influencer wielding an ostensible superpower of turning any innocuous strip of pavement into a Vogue runway without the slightest intimation of struggle.

But the reality TV star's fashion prowess might just have met its match in her son Saint West, who very nearly broke women’s football Twitter as the seven-year-old proudly donned a Katie McCabe Arsenal shirt at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night to watch Arsenal’s Europa League match against Sporting.

Saint's friends with him on the evening at the Emirates also showed their support for the Gunners' with others wearing Vivianne Miedema's shirt.

Kardashian is currently in London filming a documentary alongside Saint, who is believed to be an avid Arsenal supporter and even wore the team’s kit to a family party in January.

And while watching Arsenal’s eventual loss to Sporting, Kardashian posted a story to her Instagram account showing Saint wearing an Arsenal kit with the Republic of Ireland captain’s name emblazoned on the back, alongside a friend boasting the name of fellow Arsenal women star Vivianne Miedema on his back.

The Kardashian youngster’s fashion endorsement did not go unnoticed, firing Arsenal twitter into a frenzy and even inciting a response from McCabe, who reshared the story with the message: “Saint West has good taste.”

Unfortunately, the thrilling fashion choice did not translate on the pitch, where the Gunners were knocked out of the Europa League after Gabriel Martinelli’s penalty was saved by keeper Antonio Adan.

The misfortune, however, reaches only so deep, with Mikel Arteta’s side capable of extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table to eight points on Sunday as they face Crystal Palace at home.
