Kim Kardashian fans spot ‘embarrassing’ detail in star’s workout video

Fans of Kim Kardashian have spotted an “embarrassing” detail in one of her workout videos.

The 41-year-old posted a snippet of her morning training session, which was reshared by a fan account on TikTok, that saw her grimacing as she squatted with a Smith Machine, a gym machine used for weight training.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s personal trainer could be heard off camera giving her words of encouragement as Kim declared, "It’s hard" while trying to get through her sets.

Struggling to complete the leg-focused workout, the SKIMS founder admitted: "This is way worse than I thought."

Since being uploaded to social media, the video has also been shared on Reddit with fans pointing out Kardashian didn’t add weights to the bar, which weighs on average just 15lbs, and have branded the workout a “joke”.

The original poster captioned the video, "The gag is that [there are] no weights on the bar."

In the thread, one commented: "Omg what a joke my grandma can do that Kimberly! That’s so embarrassing for your life and your soul."

"Isn’t the bar usually 15 pounds?? That isn’t even heavy," another posted.

A third user remarked: "Either Kim is weak as hell or she thinks we’re dumb enough to believe she’s actually struggling."

"Her works are so funny to me lol she’s been at this for years but she hasn’t really upped the weights she lifts," a fourth claimed.

Despite the initial quips, others suggested that the reality TV star could be warming up, or trying to work on her form.

"My guess is she is working on form since she’s meeting the other weight at the bottom by touching it with her bum," a fan said in her defence.

Playing Devil’s advocate, a second added: "Maybe its a warm up set."

The star controversially revealed she lost 16lbs to fit into a dress worn by Marilyn Monroe at this year’s Met Gala (Getty Images for The Met Museum/)

While another claimed: "People also s**t on her form, but lowering your weight can really help with form. Smith machines can also help your form.

"You can also build a body you want with lower weights and higher reps."

Back in May, Kardashian revealed that she cut out carbs and sugar on an intense diet to fit into her Met Gala dress, originally worn by Marilyn Monroe.

However, the reality star, who lost 16lbs in three weeks to fit into the garment, came under fire at the time for her rapid weight loss.

Speaking to Allure in July about the response to her weight loss, the mum-of-four defended her actions as she pointed out she had a nutritionist and trainer on hand.

The Kardashians star insisted her weightloss wasn’t achieved through unhealthy methods and she claimed other people haven’t received as much criticism as she has.

“If I was starving and doing it really unhealthy, I would say that, of course, that’s not a good message,” she said.

“But I had a nutritionist, I had a trainer. I have never drunk more water in my life. I don’t see the criticism for other people when they lost weight for roles — they are [considered] geniuses for their craft. There are so many things out there that are so not accurate and not true.”

It follows reports that Kardashian split from boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, earlier this month.

The pair reportedly called time on their nine-month relationship after struggling to maintain a long distance relationship with Kardashian based in the US while he is filming for a new movie in Australia.
