Kim Kardashian fans 'cringe' as she takes on dance trend without North West

Kim Kardashian has attracted attention this week over a dance video that she posted on the joint TikTok account that she shares with her eldest child North West.

The reality TV star, 42, took to the page yesterday to share a clip of herself taking part in a new trend on the platform in which people dance to Doechii's song What It Is (Block Boy).

She was seen making hand gestures along to the track whilst in a pair of dark pants and a black t-shirt that appeared to feature artwork related to metal band Megadeth.

The footage - which showed Kim without her daughter North, 10 - has attracted attention since it was uploaded, with some fans having said that they found it 'quite cringey'.

Fans reacted to the video on Reddit, with one person writing: "This is so cringe. She's as stiff as a robot and that filter doesn't help." Another said: "I'm embarrassed for her".

A third person wrote: "Oh my god I'm dying of cringe". Whilst one person instead shared a gif from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, in which Kim's sister Kourtney Kardashian says: "That is so embarrassing for your life and your soul".

Someone else responded to the video in the thread on the social media platform: "If you're gonna dance, commit to it! Like she could've put at least 10% more energy into it!".

Another person said: "Nothing wrong with posting a trendy TikTok dance, but Kim honey learn to grow and evolve gracefully". This prompted further discussion about it.

One person replied: "Yeah … she's almost a 43 yr old woman ... doing this and making teenage hand gestures." Others however defended her against the remark in the comment.

"That hand sign has been around for like 50 years now. You hit a certain age and you can't [do sign of the horns] any more? I really hate that attitude," said one person.

Another said that there are "grannies" doing viral dance challenges and the same hand gestures but because it's Kim people are critical. They added: "Lord help these haters".

Whilst one person teased elsewhere in the recent thread: "She's having fun…nothing to possibly hate on here. Lighten up [people]. if she wants to have a midlife crisis, so be it."

Others wondered why she posted on the joint page when North wasn't in it. One person said: "I thought North was going to appear but this is Kim solo. I'm not sure why she posted this on her daughter's page instead of her own page."

They weren't alone in wondering about the situation, with another person saying: "Right. Like doesn't she have her own page she could have posted this to....since North isn't with her?"

Someone responded: "North has more followers than Kim's solo page." The joint account has more than 16 millions followers, whilst Kim's solo account has more than 8 million.

Another person noted that North has been away on holiday with her father Kanye West recently, with them writing: "North is in Japan right now so she's not appearing".

And not everyone seems to have been unimpressed as some viewers, because the video itself has amassed more than a million likes on TikTok since it was first uploaded.
