Kim Kardashian bombarded with fresh 'Photoshop fail' accusations by fans

Kim Kardashian has been savagely accused of photoshopping a snap of herself that she shared via Instagram days after she swore she would be spending less time online.

The 41-year-old reality star has been accused of touching up snaps she shares online in the past, and her latest offering has provoked a new backlash.

The image in question shows Kim posing while at the gym, with her legs crossed, one hand adjusting her sportswear, the other holding a bottle of water, and her infamous curves clear for all to see.

But some fans are convinced a piece of gym equipment that is in the background looks distorted, suggesting the star had altered her image to accentuate her waist.

Kim Kardashian sparked 'photoshop' accusations with an Instagram post that some fans were convinced had a 'distorted' background (Kim Kardashian/instagram)

Reacting to her post, which Kim captioned: “Chin up or the crown slips”, one fan wrote: “Nooooo not the curvy background."

Another among the many criticising the image wrote: “The morphed background” alongside a crying face emoji.

And another typed: “Whoever photoshopped this didn’t do their job right.”

Kim later took to Instagram Stories, seemingly to debunk the photoshop accusations (Instagram)

Kim later took to Instagram Stories following the backlash to share a new photo of herself sitting on the piece of gym equipment which included a chair that did have an indented design.

Kim’s gym posts come in the wake of a controversial interview with Vogue magazine where she gave hints of her reasons for divorcing 44-year-old Kanye West – and also explained she intended to spend less time on social media and block content she didn’t want to see.

She told the magazine: "For so long, I did what made other people happy. And I think in the last two years I decided, I'm going to make myself happy.

"And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it's important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy.

"I've chosen myself. I think it's okay to choose you."

She added: “I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram."

Meanwhile, her Vogue shoot provoked a negative reaction from some as Kim found herself at the centre of cultural appropriation accusations as some felt her skin tone looked different to usual and some noticed similarities between her current cover shoot and past Vogue shoots featuring black models.

One fan hit out via Twitter, writing: "How she "choose herself" when she's Blackfishing?"

And another typed: "As they should had because that is exactly what she was doing. Kim copies off people and their style then calls it hers own style. She has a fixation with Naomi Cambell."

Indeed, Naomi herself appeared to side with those arguing Kim had been guilty of cultural appropriation as she ‘liked’ a scathing review of the Vogue photo shoot on Instagram that compared past Vogue photos of the British catwalk icon with very similar snaps of Kim’s shoot.
