Kim Kardashian and Kanye West keep friendly distance at North's basketball game

Kim Kardashian showed up in style to her eldest daughter North West's basketball game on Friday.

The single mum, 41, was spotted leaving a white limousine with her children at the Sports Academy in Los Angeles while her ex-husband, and father of her children, Kanye West, 45, arrived separately and engaged in a short conversation with the reality star.

The SKIMS founder didn't blend in with the crowd as she donned neon orange sweatpants with a matching jacket tied around her waist with a white crop top and long platinum locks.

She paired the bold look with orange slides and held onto a small black bag as she made her way to the venue.

Kim's face was partially hidden away as she wore large dark sunglasses to complete the look.

Meanwhile the artist who now goes by Ye opted for an all black look wearing black jeans, a black t-shirt and black boots with a hoodie pulled up around his head. Underneath the hood he wore a distressed grey cap.

North, 9, who has previously opted for long braids this summer, wore her hair in a low pony tail for the basketball game.

It seems that Kim and Ye kept their distance from each other during and after the game, but the pair were seen talking outside of the arena with their 6-year-old son Saint stood nearby in a grey t-shirt, black Nike shorts and white trainers.

After the game Kim headed out with the kids as they lined up for frozen yogurt at Menchies.

Ye and Kim are both legally recognised as single but are yet to finalise their divorce with a trial being set for December. Both parents have requested joint custody of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three.

While it's reported that both parents are dedicated to co-parenting, Ye recently admitted that Kim raises their children 80% of the time.

Speaking on the Alo Mind podcast, he said: " You get to that point everyone wants to say 'Oh, it's mental health' and everybody wants you to apologize a million times.

"Everybody wants to have everyone so doped out, so controlled out, that you're not allowed to even stand up for the things that you're handing to your family.

"Your home is your original church. So, even to this day, I'll still give Kim advice on things that can help, because that's gonna go to the kids.

"She's still gotta — basically 80 per cent of the time — raise those children."
