Kim Kardashian admits 'you don't need to break the internet' as she accepts award

Kim Kardashian has admitted feeling that "you don't need to break the internet to make a difference."

The business mogul made a thought-provoking speech as she accepted an award at the 2022 Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles.

Kim looked stunning in a form-fitting pink cut-out dress as she stepped up to accept the Giving Tree Award at the lavish bash.

Kim, 42, was accompanied by her mother Kris Jenner, 67, and youngest sister Kylie Jenner, 25, at the event as they showed their support for her on social media.

Kim's publicist Tracy Romulus also joined them as she shared several clips of Kim giving her speech as she accepted the award.

The coveted trophy is annually given to a female who has demonstrated a commitment to helping children in need.

Kim was seen thanking filmmaker and philanthropist Tyler Perry for his encouraging words as he handed the award over to her, before delivering a speech about her views on justice and its value in her life.

She said: "As many of you know, advocating for justice is a deep passion of mine. Justice, for me, has so many meanings but what it ultimately comes down to is what is fair, what is right and what leads our world better - especially for our children. "

Kim has worked with Baby2Baby for the last 10 years and vowed that she would continue to "use my voice and my resources to share in your mission, while all of us help Baby2Baby to bring fairness, equality and justice to so many children who have been deprived of access to basic essentials."

She continued: "You don’t have to break the internet or have millions of followers to make a difference. Everyone in this room has the power.

"Our support is needed more now than ever, to close the necessity gap and join the fight for change."

Kim then showed her gratitude to her mother, Kris, and her late father Robert Kardashian for inspiring her to be caring and compassionate to others.

She said: "And I would like to thank my parents. My mom Kris, my backbone, the heartbeat of our family, for showing me what it means to put her children and caring for others first.

"And my dad, who taught me at a very young age, compassion, gratitude and the importance of using this blessed life that we have been given to bless others."

The iconic reality TV star then called her four children with ex-husband Kanye West : North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three, "the people I think about, care about and obsessed over more than anyone else," as she gave credit to them.

Kris took to Instagram to gush with pride over her daughter as she wrote: "Last night at the 2022 @Baby2Baby Gala where Kim was honoured with the Giving Tree Award for more than a decade of dedication to Baby2Baby, an incredible organization that helps provide children living in poverty with the basic essentials they need and deserve."

Kylie also shared a video to he own page as she praised her older sibling writing: "Congrats, sister. So proud of you."
