Kim Kardashian has opened up on her ever-growing relationship with Pete Davidson, admitting that she never thought the pair would be an official item.
The 41-year-old reality TV star was first romantically linked with the Saturday Night Live comedian, 28, shortly after she appeared on the weekly show last year.
And they made their first public appearance as an official couple last week when Kim was joined by her beau on the red carpet for Hulu's The Kardashians premiere.
But it's clear it wasn't something Kim had ever pictured happening.
Speaking on Monday's episode of Hoda Kotb's Making Space podcast, the SKIMS founder said: "I think that, you know, sometimes things happen when you just least expect it. It was the last thing that I was really planning on.
"And so when it did happen, we were kind of like, ‘Oh my God, I wasn’t planning on this. And this isn’t even what I was thinking of."
However, she's adamant the element of surprise has only helped to strengthen their bond.
She continued: "“It just makes it that much sweeter and so much more fun."
Although the pair have publicly declared their status, Kim confessed that she doesn't want to fully publicise their life together just yet.
She added: "I do think that I am holding, you know, a little bit more close to my heart on certain aspects of my relationship with Pete, and it feels good just to know that, like, we have this connection and we have our little bubble of a relationship world that we live in that, like, not a lot of people know about."
With Kim apparently loving life with her new man despite estranged husband Kanye West's best efforts to disrupt things, it's also become clear that Kim's family approve of her new relationship too.
A source told People earlier this month: "Pete fits right in with Kim's family. They all love him."
And Caitlyn Jenner also revealed she had met her stepdaughter's new man.
The former Olympian, 72, joked how Kim had to correct her for calling the SNL star "Peter" and explained how happy the the reality star seems.
Speaking on the Full Send podcast Caitlyn said: "He was over here with Kim. To be honest with you he seemed like a very nice guy."
Unfortunately for fans of the super famous family, Pete and Kim's relationship won't feature in the first series of their new reality show The Kardashians.
Anyone wanting to see their relationship on the small screen will have to wait until series two.
