North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been spotted using a high-end Aurus Senat limousine gifted to him by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The luxury car was presented to Kim by Putin during a summit in Russia last year and was recently used by Kim for the first time during a public event.
Kim's sister and senior official, Kim Yo Jong, praised the car's 'special function' and highlighted the deepening friendship between North Korea and Russia. The Aurus brand is the first Russian luxury car brand and has been used in official motorcades since Putin's inauguration in 2018.
Kim Jong Un, known for his collection of foreign-made luxury cars, has reportedly used vehicles such as a Maybach limousine and a Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard. During his recent visit to Russia, Kim traveled in a Maybach limousine brought with him on a special train carriage.
North Korea and Russia have strengthened their military and diplomatic ties in recent years, with both countries facing challenges from the West. Russia, along with China, has blocked attempts by the United States to impose fresh U.N. sanctions on North Korea over its ballistic missile tests.
In a separate report, North Korean state media announced that Kim Jong Un supervised troops conducting parachuting training. This training is part of a series of military drills overseen by Kim in response to joint military exercises between South Korea and the U.S.
Kim ordered his military to intensify training and prepare for potential conflict following the recent drills. The North Korean leader has been actively involved in overseeing various military exercises, including those involving tanks, artillery guns, and combat soldiers.
