Kim Jones Announces Departure From Dior Mere Months After Parting Ways With Fendi

When will the great designer shuffle come to a close? Everyone is probably asking themselves that question after a head-spinning last couple of months. Just earlier this week we learned that Glenn Martens will be taking over Maison Margiela. He's staying on at Diesel so at least his new gig doesn't leave another opening in its wake. Now comes word that Kim Jones is stepping down from his position as artistic director of menswear at Dior.

It was only back in October that it was revealed that Jones was parting ways with Fendi, stepping down as the fashion house's artistic director of womenswear. The Central Saint Martins graduate has an amazing track record and not just for Dior. After starting his design career with his own eponymous label, he took over Louis Vuitton's men's ready-to-wear collections in 2011. From there he moved on to his most recent position running Dior. He picked up the Fendi gig in 2020.

Jones hasn't made his plans public so we're not sure what the future holds for the talented designer. Although there are still lots of openings out there...
