Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay has joined Kilmarnock on-loan until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Ramsay will reunite with manager Derek McInnes, who he previously worked under at Aberdeen.
Since joining Liverpool from Aberdeen in the summer of 2022, Ramsay has played twice for the first team, spending most of his time out on loan at Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, and Preston North End.
Reacting to acquiring the Scotland capped full-back, McInnes said: “When the opportunity came up to sign Calvin we jumped at it.
“I’d like to thank Liverpool for their cooperation once again on this deal.”
The Ayrshire club were also keen to emphasise that the 21-year-old had multiple options, but chose Rugby Park as his preferred destination.
Ramsay shared that being reunited with several familiar faces from his Aberdeen days helped make his mind up.
Speaking to Killie TV, he said: "It's good. I drove up this morning so delighted to be here. Met all the lads and had a training session. I know almost half of the dressing room. Matty [Kennedy], Marley [Watkins], I could go through everyone. A few boys I have played 21s with.
“I spoke to Matty actually. He gave me a call a few days ago and went through what it is like at the club, how the manager works and said it is a great place to play.
“Hopefully when I am playing week in, week out and I can get back to really enjoying and playing my best football as well."
