Ash Taylor has no issue with banging in goals himself – as long as it fires his side up the table.
The Kilmarnock centre back rifled home a volley that a No 9 would be proud of against Dundee United.
The 91st minute strike nabbed Killie a crucial point at home to the Arabs in the Scottish Premiership opener, and it sent Rugby Park into bedlam.
He’d rather players all over the pitch to contribute in terms of goals, but as long as they go in he doesn’t care how or who.
“I’m always good for six or seven goals a season", he said. "So the more I can contribute, the further it’ll take us down the road to where we want to be.
“There’s no doubt the more of us contribute goals, the better.
“The higher those numbers, the better the position in the league we’ll achieve going forward.”
He added: “It felt like it took an age to come down when the corner came across.
“Once it finally did, it was just a question of getting as much power as possible behind it from the angle I was at. I’m so pleased it went in.
“I’d rather it had been the winner but it’s always nice to get an equaliser so late in the game, especially when we really deserved something from it.
“The way we came back showed the character of the team.
“We’ve been in those positions before but we don’t let it affect the performance we put in – we just knuckle down and keep pushing.
“It’s just a pity we ran out of time to get a winner.
“It was huge having so many fans there and it was great that we could get the goal right at the end to send them home happy.”
More importantly, though, with a testing run now to mark their Premiership return, it was vital they claimed a point to get up and running.

Taylor added: “The point was really important with Rangers and Celtic next.
“We can go into those games with more confidence after taking something from this one.
“United finished fourth last season, so to dominate for such long periods the way we did shows what we can do. I don’t think we’re far away as a group from where we want to be.
“We already have that team spirit you need for when you’re in difficult moments.
“We’ve shown it before and we showed it again here.
“The new boys who’ve come in have been fantastic and if we keep putting in performances like this one, we won’t be far away.
“We dominated as a back three and pretty much kept an experienced striker like Steven Fletcher quiet all day.”
