Kieran Trippier's one-word response to Sunderland question which Newcastle fans will love

Kieran Trippier has delivered a one-word response to a question on Sunderland which Newcastle United fans will love.

Trippier made an immediate impact on the pitch and behind the scenes, scoring free-kicks in consecutive victories against Everton and Aston Villa.

However, the 31-year-old is currently sidelined after requiring surgery for a fractured bone in his foot during the win against Steven Gerrard's side.

Eddie Howe has confirmed the right-back is expected to miss the majority of the Magpies' remaining fixtures, with Emil Krafth and Javier Manquillo deputising in his absence.

Trippier hosted a question and answer session via Instagram on Thursday, and was asked on a range of topics including his recovery and his team-mates.

However, it was the response to his view on Newcastle's rivals Sunderland which inevitably caught the attention of supporters on social media.

Asked for his 'thoughts on Sunderland', Trippier replied 'who?' with the backdrop of a tumbleweed rolling across the desert.
