Sean Dyche has paid tribute to Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier, showering him with praise for his passing ability.
The pair previously worked together at Burnley and Dyche has plenty of respect for the 32-year-old. Speaking on the High Performance podcast, the Everton manager was asked about how he ensures a talented group of players achieve results and used Trippier as an example.
Dyche said: "Kieran Trippier can land the ball anywhere on a football pitch. Honestly, he's got that much talent.

"I was actually doing him a disservice by saying 'no, I only want you to pass it ten yards'. When you have a team of players, how do you give them the best chance of them being successful?
"Every player wants to be successful, trust me. Of course you want to do it by playing amazing football like Man City do and that's fantastic but not many can. It's a tricky situation."
Last season saw Dyche successfully keep the Toffees in the Premier League, thanks to a final day win over Bournemouth. As for Trippier, he scooped the Player of the Year award, playing a massive role in Eddie Howe's side clinching Champions League qualification for the first time in 20 years.
