Kieran Tierney wants Arsenal transfer exit as Eddie Howe Newcastle interest leaves Celtic favourite 'open' to move

Kieran Tierney is said to be 'open' to a move away from Arsenal as Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe looks to bring him closer to home.

The Celtic favourite has had a mixed time at the Emirates with injuries playing their part since his 2019 switch to England, Oleksandr Zinchenko's arrival from Manchester City forcing him into a deputy role for the Ukrainian this term. It's been a good season for Mikel Arteta's Premier League title-pushers as a collective but according to the Mirror's reports in the last 48 hours, Tierney is becoming 'increasingly frustrated' at The Emirates and is 'anxious' to play regularly like he did in a dominant era at Celtic.

Arsenal bought him for £25 million but Newcastle's return to the scene as European contenders has the Scotland international 'open to a move' to the north of England from London. They want 'serious reinforcements' for a title push next season and the 25-year-old full-back is one reported acquisition they want.

So far this season, Tierney has featured in 16 Premier League matches. But only four of those have been starts on top of domestic cup and Europa League outings.
