Kieran Tierney rumour explodes after Arsenal slap in the face as Newcastle insider claims deal is 'agreed'

It's becomingly increasingly clear Kieran Tierney is likely headed for the Arenal exit door.

And that was true before the decision from Mikel Arteta not to start him in the anaemic 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest which left Gunners icon Tony Adams flummoxed. Seriously, if the call to plump for right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu to pip him earlier in the season was strange then midfield enforcer Granit Xhaka to starting ahead of him was truly baffling.

Tierney came on in the second half but it's crystal clear the Scotland international is no longer a guaranteed back-up when versatile Oleksandr Zinchenko is injured. Tierney is a logical choice to move on due to his age, ability and valuation. It's understood Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is a major admirer of the Celtic hero and views him as a logical choice to compete with local hero Dan Burn ahead of an assault on the Champions League.

Manchester City have been linked but one man with inside knowledge on the Toon has told fellow Newcastle fans to get ready. The Reddit user is regarded as a NUFC transfer deity and he has told his fellow fans he expects an announcement to be imminent at the end of the season. And that is likely no surprise to Arsenal followers with many certain the versatile Tierney hasn't had a fair shake this season.
