Kieran Tierney earns Arsenal three word billing as Aaron Ramsdale revisits training attire quip

Kieran Tierney's reputation precedes him and the former Celtic star seems to be a popular figure in the Arsenal dressing room.

But this season at Arsenal has been tough for the Scotland cap with just four English Premier League starts due to injuries and hotter competition for places through the acquisition of Ukraine star Oleksandr Zinchenko who has been integral to Mikel Arteta's high-flying Gunners. Tierney made the big-money move to London in 2019 after a dream spell in Glasgow with the Hoops.

And the 25-year-old, much like his mentor Scott Brown, is known for his ability to show physicality and an unwavering commitment on the pitch. While on the training field in winter, Arsenal fans were initially shocked to see the left-back not sporting warmer gear which earned him a certain moniker at the Emirates.

Goalie Aaron Ramsdale seems to have confirmed that theory, when asked to give a short verdict on his team-mates and Tierney came up - with a grin and a laugh - he told ESPN: "Hard as nails."

There had been reports suggesting Tierney has a decision on his hands in the summer as CBS Sports Correspondent James Benge revealed the expectation the Scot could leave the club is 'growing'.

Last month, he told the House of Champions podcast: "There is growing expectation at Arsenal that Kieran Tierney could move in the summer. If the right offer came in, all the parties are thinking this is something that might happen."
