Kieran Dowell has got his name on the scoresheet for the first time since departing Rangers for Birmingham City.
The 27-year-old midfielder was allowed to leave Rangers on-loan during the winter transfer window after falling further down the pecking order at Ibrox.
And after an 11 minute cameo as a substitute on his debut two weeks ago, Dowell has cemented himself as a mainstay in the Birmingham starting XI.
Tonight is his fourth consecutive start across all competitions, and he’s marked it with a goal just before half-time with his team 3-0 up and cruising against Cambridge United.
A win will see Birmingham go seven points clear at the English League One summit, and they still have a game in hand over second-placed Wycombe Wanderers.
Rangers will hope Dowell can flourish at St Andrew's since he is contracted to the Scottish Premiership side until June 2026.

One Birmingham supporter took to X and wrote: "Rangers what are you guys smoking. Kieran Dowell sign him up #bcfc."
While another fan said: "Just me, or is Kieran Dowell brilliant?"
A third commented: "Kieran Dowell looks like excellent business. A conversation to be had at the end of the season if he keeps this up."
Dowell has only represented Rangers 32 times following a summer 2023 switch from Norwich City.
