Kids leave paramedic 'thoughtful' thank-you note and Haribo sweets on ambulance

A paramedic has shared a touching and heartfelt note some kids left on his ambulance, along with a packet of Haribo sweets.

The heartwarming gesture was a thank you to the emergency workers as the ambulance crew responded to a medical incident in Weymouth yesterday.

The “random act of kindness” took the emergency crew by surprise and as they returned to the ambulance, paramedic Carolina Pequeno discovered the handwritten note tucked under the windscreen wiper.

It came with the short message: “Thank you for everything. Enjoy your sweets”, Dorset Live reported.

Ms Pequeno, who shared photos of the treat on her Twitter profile, was touched by the kind gesture and told the anonymous child "you don't know how much of a difference you've made to this crew today".

The paramedic described the gesture as "thoughtful" and said: "Came out from an incident to find this random act of kindness.

"To the little people who left this, you don't know how much of a difference you've made to this crew today. Thank you."

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service Trust added: "The smallest gesture can really make a massive impact.

“Like this really thoughtful message and bag of sweets left for paramedics on their ambulance while they were attending a call.

"Thank you to whoever left these. It really made their day!"

Many replies to tweet said it was "well deserved" and another shared: "I had an ambulance Monday in the South West and the care was amazing from them. Thank you for everything you do".
