Newcastle fans have been reacting to the omission of Allan Saint-Maximin in the squad that takes on West Ham at the London Stadium at 12.30pm.
The attacker has not been named in Eddie Howe's starting XI or on the bench with reports claiming he could be out for up to three weeks with injury, the nature of which is unclear.
Saint-Maximin has played 23 league games this season, scoring five goals and creating three assists.
The visitors are without Kieran Trippier, too, who scored two marvellous free-kicks in the club’s last two games.
His expected return date has not been confirmed, but it is thought to be a number of months as he recovers from a broken bone in his foot.
However, the surprise Newcastle defensive omission is Jamal Lascelles, who starts the game on the bench - much to the satisfaction of the fans it seems.
Emil Krafth comes in to for Trippier while Matt Targett makes at left-back with Dan Burn and Fabian Schar in central defence.
The midfield trio that beat Aston Villa in Jonjo Shelvey, Joe Willock and Joelinton start once again.
Chris Wood leads the attacking line with Ryan Fraser on the right flank and Jacob Murphy coming in for Saint-Maximin on the opposite wing.
