Khloe Kardashian says online trolling is 'amplified' as she details struggles with criticism

Khloe Kardashian says online trolling is 'amplified' in this modern age as she opened up on criticism and the impact it has on her mental health.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 37, revealed all in a new interview ahead of the family's new show - released on Hulu today.

The mum-of-one, who has been in the public eye since KUWTK came to screens in 2007, says it's much easier for haters to troll her these days as it's more accessible.

"I think, especially like when we first started (the show) it was like MySpace, there wasn't much and Facebook of course, but there wasn't like Instagram or Twitter," Khloe told radio star Kent 'Smallzy' Andrew on his podcast Smallzy's Celebrity Small Talk.

She continued: "Being in TV before all of that is so different than now. How amplified people's voices are [and their] criticisms are...it is very overwhelming."

The TV star concluded: "Now there's way more anxiety involved. And it does take a toll on your mental health, whether it be good or bad."

Khloe has been forced to hit back online several times due to nasty trolls.

The Kardashians is available to stream from today - and fans are clamouring to see the latest instalments in the lives of the famous family after being absent from TV screens since June last year.

The KarJenners announced in 2020 they were ending their iconic reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, after more than 20 seasons and 14 years on the air.

The famous family signed a massive new deal with Hulu, and have teased details of what will be in store for viewers when the new show premieres, but TV critics across the pond are already disappointed with their efforts.

In a scathing take, Daniel D’Addario from Variety said that the show is being “held back” because it’s “obsessed with the past”.

He said the new show has “little” new information or gossip about the KarJenners, and complained that Kim’s appearance in the new show is “muted”.

Lovia Gyarkye from The Hollywood Reporter had a similarly scathing take on the first two episodes of the new reality show, as she said it was a “disappointment”, with a lack of “shock value”.

Labelling it “aggressively” boring, she said the show felt like an “experiment in marketing, selling viewers an unattainable aesthetic and lifestyle,”, and complained the family constantly displayed their “dizzying amounts of wealth.”
