Khloe Kardashian reveals skin cancer could ‘have spread at any minute’ as she details melanoma battle

Khloe Kardashian has dicussed the severity of her skin cancer scare, admitting that doctors told her that the tumour could “have spread at any minute”.

The 38-year-old revealed in the latest instalment of her family’s reality TV series, The Kardashians, about how what she believed to be a spot on her face turned out to be melanoma.

In the episode, viewers watched as the Good American founder recovered after undergoing a biopsy on the area.

Speaking to her friend Malika Haqq, Khloe explained that when she woke up from her operation she had a “huge bandage on my face and I couldn’t really move my mouth because I had these stitches on the other side of my mouth too.

“This was way more serious than either I understood or I anticipated it to be.”

Yet, it wasn’t until the end of the episode that the reality TV star revealed how badly her health would have been affected had she not sought professional help.

Discussing how innocuous the tumour looked on her face, Khloe told her mother Kris Jenner: “I think when I think of a tumour, I think of this big thing hanging [from my cheek].”

The star then shared: “[My doctor] said it could have spread at any minute. That’s why they rushed me to do it.

“But yeah, the relief of knowing that everything is gone, it’s out of my system, it’s good. [I] never thought for a second it was a tumor on my face, like never never never.”

Speaking in her confessional interview, Khloe revealed that she was given the all-clear but remarked how it could have ended differently.

She shared: “My doctor got the pathology report back and we got the entire tumour. All my margins are clear and I’m so relieved, so happy and all I have is a scar that I will figure out later and, you know, so many people aren’t as lucky and I feel really fortunate and really blessed.”

Reflecting on her recovery, Khloe told Kris: “Not being able to eat was the worst part for me because I like to eat. That was the most annoying. I was all stitched up.

“But everything’s gone. I’m good. Everything is great. That waiting process was super not fun… now I’m on the mend.”

Discussing her daughter’s health, Kris said in her confessional: “I know Khloe keeps all of her feelings inside and she doesn’t want anybody else to worry, but I know how worried she was.

“Khloe is such a love and the heart of the family and I’ve never prayed so hard in all my life. It’s sometimes not easy but I’m just happy it’s over. She got very, very lucky.’

The American star first publicly discussed her skin cancer scare on her Instagram Stories, where she showed close-up photos of her skin, back in October 2022.

Khloe said at the time that she was “grateful” that the margins now “appear clear” and she was in the “healing process”.

She shared in one of her posts: “So, here we are… you’ll continue to see my bandages and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumour being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these face bandages look.”

She also urged her followers to get frequent checkups by recounting a past incident where doctors found a cancerous mole on her back.
