Khloe Kardashian had a 'spiral into darkness' amid her terrifying cancer scare

Khloe Kardashian has bravely opened up about her cancer scare after she had to have a cancerous tumour removed from her face.

The 38-year-old reality star had a small bump on her cheek for "seven or eight months" before a biopsy revealed it was precancerous, meaning she needed to have it removed.

Khloe admitted her mind started reeling while waiting for the results, as she thought about all of the terrifying things it could have led to.

Speaking to her friend Malika Haqq on the latest episode of The Kardashians, Khloe said: "When you're waiting on results, is sort of when your mind can just go to different places.

"What if the cancer did spread? You start thinking these crazy things. You just spiral into darkness."

While dealing with her cancer scare, Khloe was also juggling life as a mother-of-two after recently welcoming her baby boy Tatum via surrogate.

Malika was shocked by her friend's revelation, saying: "I didn't think it would be a tumour. You were supposed to get a nice break."

Khloe explained how doctors had removed "a lot more than what they thought had to be removed" and that she woke up with a huge bandage on her face.

"I couldn't really move my mouth because I had these stitches on the other side of my mouth too," she explained.

Khloe added: "This was way more serious than either I understood or I anticipated it to be. What they just don’t know is if it's pre-cancer or it already went to cancer."

She revealed how she would soon be finding out if the doctors need to do a second round and said she needed to have stitches in for two weeks.

Malika tried to comfort her friend as she said it was probably one of the hardest things Khloe has been through.

"This is the closest to when your father passed," she said.

She added: "I don't think I've ever seen you this low.

"I do know that there is a piece of you that is dealing with something so heavy and you're just going, 'I’m fine. I’m fine,' is like your thing, but you have to deal with some of the traumatic stuff."

Speaking in a confession, Khloe admitted: "I can just block things out and laugh things off. It's how I cope with things.

"I never said it's healthy. I just said it's how I cope with things."
