Khloe Kardashian 'facing lawsuit from former household assistant over unpaid wages'

Khloe Kardashian is facing a lawsuit from her former household assistant Matthew Manhard, who claims he is still owed wages from his time working for the star, according to reports.

He also alleges he was fired after taking a leave of absence following a leg injury and claims he was unable to take his legally required breaks during his shifts because he was so busy with his duties.

Khloe has vehemently denied the allegations.

Matthew, who began working for the 38-year-old in 2019, claims he was let go from his role in November 2022 after returning from his absence, according to the lawsuit.

He alleges he told Khloe he was unable to work as a result of an injury sustained in May 2022.

However, he says that when he returned six months later, his job was terminated.

In a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Matthew claims he wasn't paid overtime on days he worked 12-hour shifts.

He is seeking monetary compensation.

A representative for Khloe has slammed the allegations, telling the publication they will not tolerate the false claims.

"It’s unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route. Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role.

"Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced."

They added: "We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit."

The Mirror has approached Khloe's representatives for comment.

It's not the first time the Kardashian family has faced legal problems, as Khloe's sister Kim Kardashian was also sued back in 2021.

The filing was brought by seven former members of the gardening and maintenance staff of her $60million (£49.8million) Hidden Hills mansion.

They accused the reality star of being late with their pay and withholding 10% of their wages for taxes, without forwarding the money on to the government.

They also claimed Kim refused to pay them overtime and sometimes forced them to work without meal breaks.

The case is currently ongoing.
