Khephren Thuram 'asking price' revealed as new signings stun Liverpool squad in training

Welcome to your Liverpool FC morning digest for Thursday, July 13.

Latest in Thuram saga as asking price revealed

Perhaps the most heavily-linked player to Liverpool that has yet to sign for the club this summer, OGC Nice's Khephren Thuram has been subject to conflicting reports from France over recent days.

On Tuesday, L'Equipe announced that the midfielder is most likely to now stay put in the south of France. This is due to the Reds turning their attentions elsewhere, Bayern Munich cooling their interest and the player himself also hoping to maximise his chances of earning a place in Didier Deschamps' France squad for Euro 2024.

However, Foot Mercato have since disputed this report, themselves stating that Liverpool and Bayern in fact 'retain an interest' for a transfer in 2023. They also credit Borussia Dortmund with interest, although claim that they will not meet Thuram's revealed €50 million (£43m) asking price.

Jota stunned by what Szoboszlai and Mac Allister did in training

Speaking to the official club website, Liverpool forward Diogo Jota spoke on a range of subjects.

Last season Jota spent a lot of time recovering from injury, experiencing a particularly tough year whilst the team eventually missed out on Champions League football.

Back for the start of pre-season, however, the no.20 explained how he was revitalised by being involved right from the very beginning of next season's preparations.

He also highlighted the qualities of both summer additions, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, during the squad's first physical tests on Tuesday and first on-field drills on Wednesday, stating: "I think they will improve the team and make us stronger."
