The Atlanta Falcons played in arguably the best game of the 2024 NFL season on Thursday night, pulling off a 36-30 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to take first place in the NFC South.
Falcons wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge ended the game in style with a 45-yard touchdown reception in overtime. Fans don’t know much about Hodge other than the fact that he’s been a quality depth and special teams player for the past few seasons.

Hodge finished the game with two catches for 67 receiving yards and a touchdown. They were his first two catches of the season and the timing couldn’t have been any better.
The Falcons were trailing by three points when Kirk Cousins found Drake London for a 14-yard gain late in the fourth quarter. Cousins clocked the ball with one second left and Younghoe Koo tied the game with a 52-yard field goal.
Hodge took care of the rest and Atlanta improved to 3-2 on the season. Not a bad day’s work for the 29-year-old.
