Khabib Nurmagomedov has welcomed Tony Ferguson 's offer to coach The Ultimate Fighter against him.
Ferguson has continued to call out longtime UFC rival Nurmagomedov despite the Russian officially retiring from fighting last year. The pair were first scheduled to fight seven years ago, but five cancelled bookings later and they are still yet to face each other in the cage.
A fight is likely dead and buried after Nurmagomedov has started up his own MMA promotion, Eagle FC, and promised to never fight again following the death of his father. But he does seem keen on entertaining Ferguson's offer of coaching 'TUF' together.
"Tony I like the idea about TUF," Nurmagomedov wrote. "Call your bosses and let them make an offer, but if they don’t have ideas, I myself will offer you a deal on the Eagle Fight Club platform, we doing some business here you know."
Ferguson was quick to remind Nurmagomedov that he cannot compete for other MMA promotions whilst under UFC contract. He also criticised the Russian for a controversial video from 2018 in which he 'paid' a homeless man to do push-ups on the street.
"We’re private contractors fathead remember? We can smell ya [tiramisu] from all the way over here," Ferguson said. "Lay off the sweets meat head. Now you work for me, by the way you still owe me $200,000 and 20 push-ups for the homeless. Keep runnin', it’s tiramisu Tuesday."
Ferguson explained why he was frustrated by Nurmagomedov laughing at the homeless man from the video when talking with Submission Radio. "Khabib came over here and made fun of the homeless, feeding him money. I don't like people disrespecting my country and my countryman," he said.

"If they are from here, you've got to be better than that. 'El Cucuy' is one of those guys that they call me when they need me," he said. Ferguson has admitted he respects Nurmagomedov for starting up his MMA promotion, but is still eager to compete against him in any sport.
"Khabib's still f****ng fat anyway, If we don't fight I'd love to compete against him in whatever. Wrestleball, basketball, soccer, put your best kind of team together, I've got my team," he continued.
"Put your best team together and I'll kick your a**, I've got my team. Any kind of sport, you can pick it Khabib. We'll go out there and we'll kick your a**. Out of due respect, enjoy your retirement."
