Shocking photos of piles of KFC packaging thrown outside a branch which recently reopened following an easing of the lockdown has caused outrage.
The pictures show the fast food chicken chain's distinctive red and white boxes and brown branded paper bags strewn all over a car park located near the branch in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Wayne Hood uploaded the images on Twitter saying the sight was "unbelievable" and called the behaviour of the litter louts "shocking".
He tagged KFC and Bury Council into his tweet saying: "We as a race are disgusting (some of us).
"I’ve worked all... through this lockdown as a key worker. Never seen the place so clean".

He added: "You open a few shops... And let your customer’s [sic] Leave car park in a state like this overnight. Shocking behaviour."
Twitters users joined him to express their disgust.
One said: "I'm ashamed by my fellow man sometimes. There is no excuse for dropping litter anywhere, but this is disgusting behaviour."

Another commented: "That carpark is full of CCTV maybe fines for the cars owners that have done this. Absolutely disgusting."
One person posted: "I know the bin is full, but upon discovering that why can't people take stuff with them and dispose of it in a not full bin on the way home? Or at home? Some poor schmuck has to clean that up and guaranteed they are not paid enough."

KFC told the Evening Standard: “We’re really pleased to see the people of Bury have missed us and we’re glad to be back - but with a lot of our cleaning partners still on furlough, it a little trickier than usual to stay nice and tidy.
“Being a good neighbour is important to us, so we’ll carry on upping our regular litter picks - and we’d encourage our guests to take their litter with them or put it in the bin where possible.”
KFC closed all its stores on March 23 when the country went into lockdown but recently reopened some branches as the restriction eased.
Around 400 branches have been opened on a case by case basis for delivery, drive-thru and takeaway.
