Key security measure Rangers supporters must adhere to for Athletic Bilbao away leg

Rangers supporters must present ID to secure entry to the Europa League match against Athletic Bilbao.

Ibrox fans in Spain for the Europa League quarter-final second leg will have to show their passport alongside tickets to be allowed into San Mames Stadium on Thursday evening.

The name on the ticket must match the identification document in order for fans to avoid missing the match.

Tickets for the match can be printed and presented or scanned electronically at the stadium. Turnstiles will open two hours before kick-off.

An update from the club outlined the following key information: 

  • Tickets have been sent from entradas.ath@noreply.laliga.es, please check your junk folders for the email, and if you still don't have your ticket, please email contact@rangers.co.uk.

  • Fans are still required to carry ID (passport), as security will check these against names on the tickets upon entry to the stadium.

  • Tickets can be printed or scanned electronically on a mobile device.

  • There is no ticket resolution point or facility for reprints on the day.

  • Turnstiles will open 2 hours before the match, please view 'How To Get To The Stadium' and 'Entry Details' for important information in the document above.

  • All flags must be submitted in advance for approval and there are various items that are prohibited please view 'Entry Details & Additional Information' in the document above.
