Barry Ferguson has singled out the Michael Beale factor that could see Ryan Kent extend his stay at Rangers - but he can't see Alfredo Morelos remaining at Ibrox.
The Light Blues duo are both out of contract in the summer with the pair able to start discussions over a pre-contract at interested clubs come January 1. They have played a major role over the years putting in top performances on the European stage and helping the club land their 55th top flight title under Steven Gerrard.
Both have had poor campaigns to date with performances not reaching the high levels they have previously produced for Rangers. Club hero Ferguson reckons a dangerous player still sits within Kent and he can be a match winner at any point. He believes his relationship with Beale that dates well back could be a key factor in him remaining in Glasgow. However, he doesn't see a scenario that will see Morelos remain at the club as he admitted: 'I do think he'll be on the move'.

Speaking on Go Radio, the Rangers hero said: "I think Morelos could be on the move. Ryan Kent - there could be a possibility that he'll stay on because of the previous relationship he's had with Michael Beale.
"Not just the three years at Ibrox, but he knew him as a young kid coming through at Liverpool, so that could sway him.
"Ryan Kent's struggled for form but one thing I've always said about him is you can't fault his effort. He did work hard, it just wasn't coming off for him.
"Maybe he was trying too hard but I do still think there's a dangerous player in there who can be a match winner.
"But Morelos on the other hand, I can't see him staying.
"I'm sure there'll be a bit of interest in him but if you're asking my opinion, I do think he'll be on the move."
