The Baltimore Ravens were able to pull out a 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 7 in a key divisional showdown. It wasn’t a pretty win for Baltimore by any stretch of the imagination, but late in the game there was a key call that aided the Ravens in their victory.
With 2:09 to go in the fourth quarter, the Browns lined up to kick a 56-yard field goal to tie the game at 23. However, a flag was thrown due to what looked like Baltimore jumping offsides, but after a lengthy conversation, the officials called a false start on Cleveland, prompting them to attempt a 61-yard field goal which was blocked by Ravens linebacker Malik Harrison.

On first glance, it appears that it was Baltimore that moved across first. However, the Ravens’ sideline was adamant that the Browns moved the ball, prompting them to jump. The penalty was called on No. 68 Michael Dunn, who wasn’t near the ball. Regardless, the penalty played a key part in the outcome of the game, as Baltimore moved to 4-3 while Cleveland falls to a 2-5 record.
