Key October 2023 dates as OKC Thunder open training camp, preseason, regular season

As the calendar flips to October, the NBA cycle restarts with a new season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder — and the rest of the league — kick off their 2023-24 season by hosting media day on Monday, Oct. 2. Training camp and preseason games follow.

OKC’s preseason slate starts Monday, Oct. 9, against the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder will play five preseason contests in a two-week span.

The start of the regular season isn’t until near the end of the month, as the Thunder will travel to face the Chicago Bulls in their opener on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
