Collingwood have received a timely boost ahead of their AFL clash with Gold Coast, with Jordan De Goey and Will Hoskin-Elliott now looking likely to be available after recovering from gastro.
The pair missed main training on Friday and were in doubt to face the Suns at the MCG on Sunday.
But explosive midfielder-forward De Goey and Hoskin-Elliott returned to the club for a light session on Saturday.
Coach Craig McRae had said gastro had gone through the Magpies this week.
McRae is wary of the Suns, who were left reeling by a 52-point loss to Brisbane.
"They're very competitive. Last week the scoreline was a bit flattering ... their contested game is stark," McRae said.
"When they win, they have a really strong contested game and when you get on top of them, that stands out.
"They're a really good pressure team. There's no easy games in AFL footy."
Collingwood are also watchful of the threat posed by former Magpie and current Suns ruckman Jarrod Witts.
With Brodie Grundy and Nathan Kreuger unavailable through injury, Darcy Cameron and debutant Aiden Begg are set to have their work cut out for them.
"Witts is a terrific ruckman. I had a little bit to do with him when he was a bit younger so I've got great respect for him," McRae said.
"(Witts) dominated against a younger ruckman (Tom De Koning) against Carlton and really got the game on their terms a few weeks ago.
"We've got to get to work. We don't have certain things (a player like Grundy) but we have other opportunities, so it could look a little bit different."
Suns counterpart Stuart Dew is aware of Collingwood's quick ball movement, which came to the fore in their hard-fought win over Essendon.
"They're playing a great brand. Obviously they go quick when they need to, they're hard around the ball, their pressure's very good," Dew said.
"They do force the opposition to make decisions and force them into errors when they're at their best.
"They're playing good footy, very direct, they're even across the board and they've got some good experience sprinkled through their lines."
