Former Nottingham Forest scouting chief Andy Scott has got a new job in football.
Scott, who was let go by Forest in October after helping oversee the summer transfer window, has been appointed technical director at League One club Charlton Athletic. The news was announced after Dean Holden was unveiled as the Addicks' new manager.
The experienced scout worked with Steve Cooper at Swansea before reuniting with the head coach at the City Ground. He and George Syrianos, were responsible for the summer transfer window in terms of scouting and identifying players to sign.

Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis sacked Scott and Syrianos back in October as Forest initially struggled with life back in the top flight. Syrianos appears to still be out of the game, despite being linked with a move to Spanish club Real Valladolid.
And Scott is now at Charlton, with owner Thomas Sandgaard telling their official website: "I am really pleased we have been able to bring in Andy Scott. He is a highly-regarded individual who has played an important role in the success of a number of clubs. Scott has the skillset, vision and contacts to help move the club forward.
"He’ll play a key role in the January transfer window and longer term will help further align the direction of our men’s first team and academy."
