New Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale is considering a move to add Kevin Thomson to his coaching team.
Thomson stepped down from his position as manager of Kelty Hearts this week with Record Sport first revealing the news on Tuesday.
Beale and Thomson were close from their time together at Rangers.
And they remain friends with Beale considering his options as he puts his new management team together at Loftus Road.
Thomson was highly thought of at Rangers before he moved to Kelty last summer.
It is Beale’s first job in his own right after playing a major role for Steven Gerrard at Rangers and then Aston Villa.
Thomson quit Kelty after leading them to the League Two title because he wants a move back into full-time football.
There is managerial interest in Thomson on both sides of the border and he is currently considering his options.
He was interviewed by Raith Rovers while still at Kelty but couldn't agree terms on a move to Stark's Park.
Ian Murray took that instead with Thomson still on the lookout for his next job.
