The Cleveland Browns have sorted out their quarterback room all in one day. After waiving Kellen Mond today, the Browns have now also named their backup quarterback as head coach Kevin Stefanski sticks to the plan from this Spring. Veteran Joshua Dobbs will serve as the backup while Dorian Thompson-Robinson continues to learn and grow in his rookie season.
Thompson-Robinson will still be dressed on gameday, however, as a third emergency quarterback is allowed to dress without being named as an active player on Sundays. He cannot play, however, unless injuries or ejections happen to both the starter and backup if he is listed as the emergency quarterback.
