Kevin Stefanski expects star pass rusher back in 2025

The Browns have important decisions to make this offseason to ensure the face of the franchise, defensive end Myles Garrett, remains satisfied.

ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi reports that Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski expects defensive end Garrett to return to Cleveland in 2025. While Garrett has voiced frustration about the possibility of a rebuild, Stefanski doesn’t believe the sides will part ways this offseason.

The 2025 season was the most disappointing of the Stefanski era, with Cleveland failing to win seven games for the first time in his tenure after an 11-win campaign that saw five different starting quarterbacks. At age 29, Garrett’s time in the NFL may be winding down, and he has not hidden his desire to win a Super Bowl and compete at the highest level.

Although Garrett has also stated that he wants to retire as a Brown, he will not be content with sticking around for a full rebuild that costs him another one of his prime seasons. After posting another 14-sack year and remaining in the DPOY conversation, keeping Garrett happy will be a top priority for the team this off-season.
