Kevin Spacey celebrates not-guilty verdict in Soho club

Kevin Spacey enjoyed a double celebration after being cleared of sexual assault charges on his 64th birthday.

The House of Cards star, whose backpack sported a “be kind” badge, went on a night out with friends in central London, and was spotted sipping whisky at the Groucho Club in Soho and smoking outside.

Hours earlier the actor said he was “humbled” by the jury’s decision to clear him of nine sex offences.

The star wept at Southwark crown court as the jury delivered the verdict.

He had been accused of sexually assaulting four men between 2001 and 2013 — accusations he described as “madness”. Speaking on the court steps after the verdict, he said: “I’m enormously grateful to the jury.”
