From Shakespeare to Songs of Praise, Kev has appeared in numerous theatrical productions, television programmes and radio shows as well as being a newspaper columnist, author, fundraiser and recipient of the MBE from Her Majesty the Queen.

Kev said: “I can’t wait to be back on the Grand Theatre stage bringing much-needed cheer to our audiences this Christmas. The magic of live theatre is something we’ve all missed, and we’ll be making this Christmas’s panto extra-special to welcome audiences back after a year away.”

Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s cabinet member for investment, regeneration and tourism, said: “It’s really good news that the Swansea Grand pantomime will be back this year, subject to any Covid-19 regulations. For thousands of panto-visitors Christmas isn’t really Christmas without a trip to the Swansea Grand panto. We can’t wait to find out who else will be joining Kev in what promises to be a star-studded experience.”

A spokesperson from the theatre added: “The theatre is renowned for its fun packed, family friendly pantos and after last year’s disappointment when we had to cancel due to Covid 19, we are so excited to be able to share some seasonal sparkle with our lovely audiences. Kev Johns has always been a key ingredient in our pantos and as Snow White’s cook he’s sure to stir up lots of merriment, magic and mayhem.
