It’s almost been four years since the world lost Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people to a devastating helicopter crash, and the sports world never truly recovered. To this day, his peers mourn his death and one of his fiercest rivals, Kevin Garnett, proclaimed that given the chance, he’d honor Bryant in the ultimate way.
While appearing on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Garnett spoke about Bryant and declared that if he ever fathered a son, he’d name him after his old friend. In typical KG fashion, he used some very colorful language when doing so. A NSFW warning for the following video.

“We celebrate him like he’s still alive, and I love that,” Garnett said. “If I have a son someday, I don’t know when and where, but I’mma dedicate a son to Kobe, man.”
Both Garnett and Bryant entered the NBA right out of high school and had some historic battles over their long, illustrious careers. The most notable, of course, came in back-to-back NBA Finals matchups between Bryant’s Lakers and Garnett’s Celtics.
Boston got the best of Los Angeles in 2008, but Bryant had the last laugh in ’09.
Garnett, 47, has two daughters from a previous marriage.
