Kevin Durant Went 7-0 in NFL Week 17 Picks for FanDuel

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant finished 7-0 for his NFL Week 17 picks, selecting the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Commanders to win outright. A parlay of those picks would have won gamblers a $1,459 payout on a $100 bet.

Kevin Durant selected seven favorites at FanDuel in NFL Week 17, moneyline favorites went 15-1 this week

A seven-team parlay payout will return about 92.42 times the wager amount using -110 odds for each leg of the parlay. A seven-team parlay has a 1.1% percent chance of winning and is equivalent to +9142 American odds and 92.42 in decimal odds. Simply put, everything has to go right.

Although it’s never easy to pick multiple outright winners, Durant actually selected seven favorites in those matchups, and moneyline favorites went 15-1 this week.

Both the Bengals and Commanders won their games in overtime, and the Rams secured their victory on a final-minute interception. The Lions-49ers matchup was close until Detroit pulled away in the fourth quarter.

In February 2022, Durant and his company, Boardroom, entered into an exclusive multi-year partnership with FanDuel to produce betting content for their platforms.

The 14-time All-Star announced on X in September of this year that the partnership extended to picking NFL games. In fact, he has made his picks for every week of the 2024 season.

Fans criticized Durant for partnering with FanDuel

However, Durant’s announcement on X drew heavy criticism from fans who thought it was a bit hypocritical to see Durant, who has been critical of sports betting in the past, now promoting FanDuel.

“The dude who tells people to stop gambling and get a job promoting fan duel,” a fan wrote on X alongside a crying emoji. Durant retweeted the comment and clarified his position on gambling.

“No, I tell u to stop complaining about this life that you’ve committed to,” he wrote. “When u lose, there’s finger pointing. When u win, there’s gloating about how smart you are about seeing the future. No gratitude to the service workers like myself. I’m sick of it.”

Furthermore, the posts come about a week after Durant shared an interesting response to a fan after LeBron James earned a triple-double and pointed to a fan after his 10th rebound of the game.

After the game, LeBron told reporters that the fan told him to score “one more rebound,” so he pointed at him in response to “acknowledge that [he] was listening.”

Fans speculated that the fan had placed a bet on the Lakers star to get a triple-double. This led to a fan posting, “[Kevin Durant would tell us to get a job meanwhile Bron Bron knows what’s up.”

In response, Durant tweeted, “GO GET A JOB!!! For the love of god.”
