Magic forward Moritz Wagner went viral Wednesday for sharing a hilarious encounter with superstar Kevin Durant.
On the Pardon My Take podcast, Wagner told a story from his rookie season with the Lakers when he suited up against Durant and the Warriors.
Wagner, who came off the Lakers bench and played just 11 minutes in that game, was fouled by Durant on a three-point attempt. Before he knew it, he was talking trash to a 13-time NBA All-Star.
“I didn’t even realize it was him,” Wagner said. “I turned around and was like, ‘Yeah, you can’t guard me.’”
Durant found the clip of Wagner telling the story Wednesday on social media and offered a hilarious one-liner.
I walked away from that game thinking, damn that rookie is an asshole https://t.co/ebTLOyoef0

After Wagner was fouled, Durant, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins trolled Wagner at the free-throw line. The rookie missed two of three attempts.
“I’m telling you, I was so shook,” Wagner said.
The trash talk continued on the next possession when Durant found a wide-open Green cutting to the hoop for an easy layup.
I found the clip and it gets even better. The next play! 😂 https://t.co/TlBJm2DndC pic.twitter.com/B0GH54w5RW

Wagner, now in his sixth NBA season, is far more established than he was on that night in Los Angeles. Playing alongside his brother Franz in Orlando, Wagner is averaging 13.0 points on 63.3% shooting in 20 games this season.
