Kevin Durant hypes up Falcons’ Bijan Robinson: ‘He’s an insane player’

Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has plenty of fans all around the country, including a few notable celebrities. Hollywood movie star and University of Texas superfan Matthew McConaughey is one of Robinson’s biggest supporters. Add NBA superstar Kevin Durant to the Falcons running back’s list of admirers.

Durant, like Robinson, is a former Texas Longhorn who was drafted with enormous expectations. The Olympic gold medal winner recently expressed his admiration for Robinson during an appearance on “Up & Adams” with NFL analyst Kay Adams. Durant recalled seeing Robinson play at Texas and being blown away by his talent.

“He’s just a natural at it,” said Durant. “Like he runs the football and it don’t even look like he’s running full speed. He’s just gliding out there. He makes moves and can stop on a dime. He’s an insane player. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen with eyes.”

Atlanta drafted Robinson with the No. 8 pick in 2023 and despite a solid rookie year, the team couldn’t get over the hump to reach the playoffs. Now with a new head coach and quarterback to help take the pressure off, Robinson is in a position to really take off in 2024.

Fantasy football fans are probably aware of the hype surrounding Robinson. ESPN has Robinson ranked as the No. 2 overall player behind Christian McCaffrey entering the season.

With a Marshall Faulk-like skill set and an impressive array of weapons on offense, don’t be shocked to hear Robinson’s name mentioned in the MVP discussion (before the league awards this year’s top quarterback).
