Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has paid a compliment to Virgil van Dijk by naming the Dutchman in his dream five-a-side team.
Premier League Player of the Season, De Bruyne, was asked to make his picks in a video for Copa 90 on TikTok. The only stipulation was that the midfielder could only pick one player from each team included. After choosing himself, the Belgian plumped for Anfield's defensive lynchpin Van Dijk to command his rearguard.
De Bruyne said: “I will take Van Dijk, (N'Golo) Kante, I’ll take Harry Kane. I’ll put myself into it for City purposes. I would say this year Jose Sa (in goal). I think he was really good.”

De Bruyne and Van Dijk both enjoyed stellar seasons for their respective clubs, with the former helping Manchester City to pip Liverpool to the Premier League title, while the Reds' centre-back collected Carabao Cup and FA Cup winners medals before missing out on a Champions League winners medal on Saturday after Liverpool's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.
Van Dijk put in an assured performance for Jurgen Klopp's side in Paris, keeping Madrid talisman Karim Benzema quiet for large portions of the game, but could do nothing about Vinicius Jr.'s 59th-minute winner.
Despite tasting defeat in the French capital, Van Dijk, who joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2018 ,has won every major club trophy on offer to him during his time on Merseyside.
