Aaron Ramsdale has said that Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner is the funniest player in the squad.
The 28 year-old backup goalkeeper appears to have made a good impression on his teammates this season despite a limited impact on the field. Turner, who joined the club from MLS outfit New England revolution last summer, has only played seven times this season.
He has been kept out of first team action consistently by Ramsdale. The English shot-stopper has had a stellar season and has proven doubters wrong after his surprising move from Bournemouth in 2021. With 12 clean sheets in 26 gameas and a growing reputation within the game he has made a name for himself.

Turner, who made his international debut in 2021 for the USMNT and has cemented himself as the team's first choice, has been the 'cup keeper' for Mikel Arteta this season. He deputised for the Gunners in Europe too but is now unlikely to feature again due to the pressure at the top of the table.
Regardless, Ramsdale finds his fellow glovema a brilliant addition to the setup at London Colney and has even gone on to label him as the group's most hilarious. "Matt Turner unintentionally," he revealed when asked who makes him laugh the most.
"[He's] Just American, Americanisms." Turner's extravogant gender reveal on the field at Orlando following USMNT's win over El Salvador in midweek went viral, perhaps giving an indication as to what he's like behind the scenes.
Ramsdale has an even better anecdote to prove his comedy genius though. "We played Man City in the FA Cup," he explained. "Kevin De Bruyne went to speak to the ref and Matt Turner's response was: "Relax dog, it's a dogfight out there." Ramsdale, by this stage unable to contain himself, then bursted out with laughter at the recollection of the story.
That was Turner's second-to-last appearance for the club this season, having also been called upon for the first leg Europa League draw to Sporting CP. A mistake in that game cost him the place in the side for the penalty shootout second leg loss. He has played 25 times for his country since 2021, making 99 MLS appearances in America too.
