The 50 best Premier League footballers have been ranked by Football Manager 23, with Manchester City dominating.
The brand-new Football Manager 2023 game was officially released on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 for PC, Mac, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and Mobile Devices. The only platform yet to receive FM23 is PS5, with the release delayed indefinitely. The newest instalment in the football simulator series features a bunch of new features including Dynamic Manager Timeline, Recruitment Revamp, Supporter Confidence, UEFA licence, new Match AI and Animation and more.
Using the FM23 in-game editor, we've collected data and created a list of the 50 best Premier League players according to FM23, ranking them by their current ability (CA). Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea players account for 70% of the players in the top 50, whilst the other 30% is made up of five other clubs.

Current Ability is an attribute used in Football Manager games to judge how good a player is, with each player in the game's database given a rating out of 200 for both Current Ability (CA) and Potential Ability (PA). Potential Ability is a rating given to judge how good players could become, but we've just used CA to assemble a list of the top 50 Premier League players in Football Manager 2023.
Kevin De Bruyne takes the top spot in the FM23 list, rated 189/200. Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah are tied for second (185/200), whilst Harry Kane takes third.
Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked 44th on the list, a major drop-off from FM22. Overall, Man City have 15 players on the list, Liverpool and Chelsea both have 10, Man United have five, Arsenal have four, Spurs have three, West Ham United have two and Wolves have one.

Football Manager 2023 is out now on PC and Mac, whilst FM23 Touch is also out now for Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade, so the game can be played on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV for the first time. FM23 console has received its release on Xbox Series S/X, but the PS5 release has been delayed indefinitely.
