Kevin De Bruyne's comments on Paris Saint-Germain should help reassure Arsenal fans that Mikel Arteta will not be interested in the job.
Reports in France claim that the Gunners boss is one of several managers on PSG's shortlist as they look to replace Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season. The Ligue 1 club is set for a mass exodus this summer, including up to nine first-team players after their embarrassing Champions League collapse against Real Madrid.
Arteta has entered the final 18 months of his Arsenal contract, which expires in 2023, but the north Londoners are confident he will commit his future to the club. PSG are hoping to disrupt those plans, however, as they monitor the Spaniard, according to L'Equipe.
Arteta's project at Arsenal is flourishing as they look set to land a top-four finish this season. His ability to rebuild the club in such a short space of time would certainly attract PSG, with multiple claims of a fractured dressing room in France.
The question is would the Parc des Princes be an attractive landing spot for Arteta? Not according to Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne, who worked with Arteta when he was Pep Guardiola's right-hand man at the Etihad before making the move to the Emirates.
The Belgian spoke about the culture at Man City and how the club looks after their players off the field, as well as on it. He thinks this is a stark contrast to what it's like at PSG.
Speaking to L'Equipe, De Bruyne said: "Man City looks for the best players, but also learns about personal life, the way you behave. They know how to create a group. It's a little different from what is done at PSG."

That cohesiveness is something that Guardiola embodies and Arteta is very much cut from the very same cloth because of their time together at City. And he's brought those fundamentals, or as he likes to call it "non-negotiables", over to Arsenal.
Arteta said: "If you don't have the right culture, in the difficult moments, the tree is going to shake, so my job is to convince everybody that this is how we are going to live. If you are going to be part of this organisation it has to be in these terms and in this way."
PSG has the opposite of the "right cuture" at the moment and as much as Arteta would have the chance to work alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar, there are several deep-rooted issues that exist. That is something that wouldn't appeal to the Arsenal boss given his principles as a manager and De Bruyne has perfectly illustrated why the French giants would be the completely wrong fit for him.
